Censorship tracked down

Business & Human Rights : Links. to a BBC article from 21 September 2010 “Google releases censorship tools“.

Google created a map to track down censorship practices in the world. It is certainly an invaluable tool, but I just wonder what is the methodology used to gather the data and to compile the data. A additional job to do? for a PhD student?
