The 19 Senators Who Voted To Censor The Internet | Techdirt. 18 november 2010

Obviously, from the US. The bill is supposed to give lots of power to the President to shut down the internet when security threats appear…

In that light, China’s actions do not seem much worse. “When China Redirected 15% Of Internet Traffic… Was It On Purpose Or An Error?” TechDirt, 18 Novembre 2010

nor some eastern Europe countries better “Media freedom declining in enlargement countries” Euractiv, 11 Novembre 2010, .. or those refusing to attend the Nobel Peace Prize’s ceremony in Sweden in a few days.

Or for that matter, the UK “UK Politician Arrested For Being A Jerk On Twitter” TechDirt, 15 Novembre 2010. Read in particular the first comment: it’s enlightening about the context of the politician’s comment and shows he should never have been arrested.
